ABOUT
Haslemere is a small Market Town in the United Kingdom on the borders of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire, roughly half way between London and Portsmouth.

Haslemere Hounds 2019, is the successor to Haslemere Hares, the highly successful Community Arts project that took place in the summer of 2018, and Haslemere Hogs in 2017.

Although NOT specifically intended as a 'Fundraising excercise', more than £85,000 has been raised so far for a variety of Local and National good causes.

Our previous websites www.haslemerehogs.co.uk and www.haslemerehares.co.uk remain active and they provide not only a pretty full record of our activities in 2017 & 2018 but a good indication of what Haslemere Hounds will deliver through the summer of 2019.

The project is using local Artists and Schools to decorate more than 100 fibreglass Hounds that will be displayed throughout the area from May 'til September 2019.
Following the display period - The HOUND Parade - the Hounds will be sold off with the proceeds going to a variety of Charities and good causes.

Please keep visiting this site as regular updates will appear throughout the summer.

Hound and pup for 2019

2018 Highest price Hare
This stunning hare was painted by Pathum Kuruwita Arachchi (landlord of The White Horse) where it was displayed until a generous customer paid £5000 making it the highest ranking in terms of money raised.

2017 Best Hog

Decorated by Haslemere Girl Guiding. This was simply the best on a community level because the guides needed to raise £200 to “Save their Bacon” and did so by commissioning a unique “Lady Bacon Powell” embroidered badge that the girls could purchase and sew onto their blankets as a memento of their involvement in the project.
