81 Chakrabarki - The Hollistic Hound
SIZE : hound
Chakrabarki the Holistic Hound is a recognition that we all can benefit from taking a holistic approach to our health and well-being. He is decorated in the colours of the chakras, which are recognised in ancient Indian traditions as focal points in the body linked to well-being. Anyone who practises yoga will be familiar with the concept of creating a sense of balance through working with the chakras. Chakrabarki is also decorated with intricate patterns inspired by the henna designs that are used at Indian ceremonies.

Haslemere Chiropractic Clinic is proud to be sponsoring Chakrabarki the Holistic Hound. We are hoping that he will provide an opportunity to inspire people to embrace a holistic approach to health and well-being, and at the same time to raise money for the charity that the Clinic is supporting this year, StonePillow.

Nimisha Lakhani
Our hound has been lovingly created by our artist Nimisha Lakhani.
Nimisha is a self-taught, Internationally Certified Henna Artist and mother of three who has been interested in Henna since she was a little girl. Seeing her children be as interested as she was made her think of ways of preserving henna and its beautiful patterns. She is predominantly inspired by her own cultural experiences, but also the world around her, and she is proud to be applying traditional ethnic Henna designs to crafts for displaying within the home, as well as doing body art, henna parties and teaching henna. Henna Haven was created 6 years ago when Nimisha was trying to overcome Post Natal Depression and since then she has obtained her Reiki 2 which has enabled her to do more intuitive henna and infusing Reiki energy into everything she creates. Nimisha has suffered from various ailments over the years - chronic pain being the biggest one - which have stopped her working a 'normal' job; and art has always helped her through the tough times and given her focus. It's something which allows her to connect with others and spread positive energy and love, but also works around her health and family.
